Biography

Marco Ciaponi was born in 1989 in Barga (Lucca). He has studied with Rebecca Berg and he is now specializing under the guidance of Cinzia Forte.

He made his debut in 2014 as Nemorino in Elisir d'amore at Teatro Municipale in Piacenza under the guidance of Leo Nucci and under the baton of Stefano Ranzani and in the following years he has sung the same role at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Opera House of Tblisi, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Teatro Sociale di Rovigo.

Past seasons highlights include: La Traviata (Alfredo) at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, Komische Oper Berlin, Oper Leipzig, Teatro Comunale in Bologna in Tokyo, La Sonnambula (Elvino) at Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, Don Giovanni (Don Ottavio) at Teatro Verdi in Trieste under the baton of Maestro Gelmetti and at Oper Köln, Rigoletto (Duca di mantova) at Circuito Lombardo, Opéra de Toulon, Opéra Royal de Wallonie; Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte at Opéra de Saint- Etienne; La Fanciulla del West and Manon Lescaut at Teatro alla Scala in new productions conducted by M° Chailly, Don Pasquale (Ernesto) at Teatro Massimo in Palermo and at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona; Falstaff (Fenton) at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Teatro Comunale di Piacenza, Reggio Emilia and Modena; Rossini’s Stabat Mater with M° Stefano Montanari with Warsaw Philharmonic and with M° Scappucci at Spring Festival in Tokyo, Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio) in Piacenza, Modena, Reggio Emilia and Ferrara, I Pagliacci (Beppe) at Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam in a new production signed by Robert Carsen under the baton of M° Lorenzo Viotti.
