The Bolshoi Theatre and Credit Suisse announced the first prize winner of Young Opera Singers’ Award
An award was established at the end of 2020 based on the long-term collaboration between the Bolshoi Theatre and Credit Suisse bank, and it aims to support prominent young talents. Bekhzod Davronov, tenor of the Bolshoi Opera Company, became the first recipient. On 13 December, right before the start of Traviata by G. Verdi (Historical Stage) Vladimir Urin, General Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, presented him the award.

Opera Les pêcheurs de perles by George Bizet belongs to theatrical antique. It was staged at the Bolshoi once in 1903. The forthcoming premiere on the Chamber Stage will not only bring the forgotten name back but also present the latest musical version. Production is a debut of well-known Latvian theatre director Vladislavs Nastavševs on opera stage.

Festival to commemorate 180th anniversary of Pyotr Iliych Tchaikovsky will be held from September to December on all stages of the Bolshoi Theatre. Program includes four operas, five ballets and five concert programs.
