Welcome to the Bolshoi!
Prior to the opening of the new 246th season, the theatre and YouTube are launching a unique project “Welcome to the Bolshoi”. On the 10th of September we will escort anyone, any citizen of the world, across all the foyers, have a peek into the dressing rooms, backstage and the rehearsal spaces, and give the opportunity to 'step' on the Historic Stage. All of this will be possible thanks to the panoramic 360 videos, which are uploaded on the Bolshoi YouTube channel. From anywhere in the world, YouTube users can feel they are actually inside the theatre. The pandemic shut the doors of our theatre for too long and the requirement limiting us to fifty per cent capacity remains in place but online broadcasts of the performances (our grandiose success of last season!) and online tours around the theatre building help us to stand firm despite all forced restrictions.
