Bolshoi Ballet is going to perform its The Taming of the Shrew in Monaco (December 19-21). The premiere of the ballet choreographed by Jean-Christophe Maillot took place this summer and made a great success. Expecting the Bolshoi’s visit to Monte-Carlo Jean-Christophe Maillot welcomes the troupe.

Performances of new Bolshoi’s Rigoletto will take place on 14 and 16-21 December.

World ballet stars have nobly agreed to appear in a charity Gala Concert, to be held at the Bolshoi Theatre on 7 December 2014, in support of the Kiev School of Choreography, the School building being urgently in need of renovation. The idea comes from Bolshoi Theatre Prima Ballerina Svetlana Zakharova, who began her ballet education within the walls of the School.

On the eve of the New Year, the Bolshoi Theatre has decided to present a winter fairy tale for children as well as for adults. Namely, The Story of Kai and Gerda — an opera, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, written by the marvelous Petersburg composer Sergei Banevich.

From November 20 till December 7: seven cities and three ballets.

The Bolshoi suggests taking the third journey (November 6 & 7) into the age of the baroque with the unique French ensemble Les Arts Florissants — a trailblazer in the sphere of authentic performance.

The Bolshoi Ballet has taken a record high: the number of viewers who have watched its performances on the big screen has surpassed the million mark!

French companies Bel Air Classiques and Pathé Live continue direct broadcasting of the Bolshoi Theatre ballet performances. In the 239^th season A LEGEND of LOVE will be the first performance viewers across the globe will see. The premiere of the ballet in a renewed version will take place on the Historic Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre on October 23. The main cast will perform again on OCTOBER 26. And so it’ll be that very day when the ballet will appear on the screens worldwide. The leading parts will be taken by Maria Allash (Queen Mekhmene Banu), Anna Nikulina (Princess Shireen) & Denis Rodkin (Ferkhad). The full list of cinemas is available on the Pathé Company site.
