Biography
Tatiana Noginova was born in Vologda. In 1993 she graduated from the production faculty of the Leningrad State Cherkasov Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography having specialised in costume design (department of stage engineering and technology).As a costume designer at the Mariinsky Theatre she has worked on productions of Katerina Ismailova, The Gambler (co-production with the Teatro alla Scala in 1996 and a 2007 production), War and Peace (co-production with the Metropolitan Opera), Boris Godunov (Mariinsky Theatre production premiered in May 2002 at La Scala), The Enchantress (Mariinsky Theatre production together with the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Lisbon), The Snow Maiden, Mazepa (co-production with the Metropolitan Opera) and Richard Wagner’s tetralogy Der Ring des Nibelungen.
As a costume designer she has worked on sixty-two plays, operas and ballets, among them Generals in Skirts (Buffo Theatre, St Petersburg), Funeral Prayer (Pushkin Drama Theatre, Krasnoyarsk), Shukshin’s Until the Third Cocks (Orenburg Drama Theatre), Kin-4, Royal Games and Lady Windermere’s Fan (Norilsk Drama Theatre), Antigone (Bolshoi Tovstonogov Drama Theatre, St Petersburg), Turandot, The Fiery Angel and Coppélia (Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow), Don Quixote, Harlequinade, Carnaval and Le Corsaire (Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre), Salome (Chicago Opera), The Love for Three Oranges (Sydney Opera, Australia), the Broadway musical The Little Mermaid, The Jester, Daphnis et Chloé (Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre), La Esmeralda (Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theatre), The Three Musketeers and Aladdin (Stage Entertainment, Moscow).
Has worked with the stage directors Temur Chkheidze, Irina Molostova, Yuri Alexandrov, Alexei Stepanyuk, Alexander Galibin, David Pountney, Andrei Konchalovsky, Francesca Zambello and Nina Chusova and the choreographers Alexei Miroshnichenko, Yuri Smekalov and Sergei Vikharev.
