Étienne Guiol

Biography

Born in Chartres, France, Etienne Guiol is at the same time painter and video designer.
He graduated from Emile Cohl’s school in Lyon in 2010.

Since 2012, he has been working extensively in video creation and live performances for theater, international opera productions and urban mapping. His creation are bring on international stage like Scala de Milan in Italy, Athens Opera in Greece, Wiesbaden in Germany, Basel and Geneva in Switzerland, Le Caire in Egypt, Budapest in Hungaria and different main operas stage in France. Two of them were graduated for Best opera creation (Maria Republica in 2016) and best Stage Concept (Docteur Atomic and Le Coq d’Or in 2015).

He create in 2012 a studio specialized in video mapping and video creation based in France, named BK. Him and his team are often present in international mapping festival and international private event in Lyon, Paris, Dubaï, Bucarest, Roma, Casablanca, Shanghai, Beijing, HongKong, Shenzen.
