Biography
Born in Tashkent. In 2010 he graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in Kiev (Gennady Kabka’s class). He was soloist at the National Opera Kiev and the National Philharmonic Orchestra.In 2012 he joined the Mikhailovsky Opera Company in Saint Petersburg.
He sang Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème in Denmark and performed the tenor part in Rachmaninov´s The bells at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under the musical direction of Tomas Netopil.
His repertoire includes Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Count Vaudémont in Iolanta, Vakula in Cherevicki, Alfredo in La Traviata, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi and Rodolfo in La Bohème.
In 2014 he made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre as Alfredo (La Traviata).
He collaborated with conductors such as Vladimir Spivakov, Vladimir Jurowski, Thomas Netopil, Nicholay Dyadyura.
Suren Maksutov became semi-finalist of the Operalia competition Moscow 2011.
