This was the Bolshoi Theatre’s first appearance at the Festival. The Bolshoi Theatre Chorus and Orchestra, led by Alexander Vedernikov, opened the International Gala Concert on 3 August. On 5 and 6 August, the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company gave performances of Turandot (conductor Alexander Vedernikov).
