The Bolshoi theatre premieres Yuri Lyubimov’s new take on a Russian classic opera, Prince Igor.

After a 121-year (!) absence, Vincenzo Bellini’s La Sonnambula, one of the most touching and charming of the bel canto operas, returns to the Bolshoi Theatre repertoire. Opera buffs will certainly appreciate the fact that in the lead will be an opera star with a world-wide reputation, Laura Claycomb, “a coloratura without limit”, as Russian critics have dubbed her.
