Simon Lim will make his Bolshoi Theatre’s debut as Philip II. Sergei Skorokhodov will appear as Don Carlo for the first time in Bolshoi Theatre’s production, Elena Maximova is going to perform the part of Princess Eboli, Alexei Markov — the part of Rodrigo. Their performances will take place on 4 & 6 May. Alexei Tikhomirov will perform the role of the Grand Inquisitor for the first time at the Bolshoi on 6 May.

Bolshoi Has Announced Plans for the New Season
Vladimir Urin, General Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, Makhar Vaziev, Ballet Director, and Katerina Novikova, Bolshoi's spokeswoman, attended a press conference at which the Theatre’s plans for its next — 248th — season were presented to the public.

Dmitri Beloselsky will make his Bolshoi Theatre’s debut as Heinrich der Vogler, Yulia Matochkina will appear as Ortrud (19, 21 & 23 April). Evgenia Muravieva will perform the role of Elsa for the first time at the Bolshoi (20 & 22 April).
