Biography
Born in Martvili (Georgia).
In 2006 Aluda Todua began his studies at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire after V.Sarajishvili (teacher Professor Eldar Getsadze), where he graduated with a master’s degree in 2012. Even during his time as a student he was able to gain experience on stage during the Conservatoire’s student productions. In these, he performed the roles of Germont in La Traviata, of Silvio in I Pagliacci, and of Fiorello and the Officer in Il barbiere di Siviglia. He was engaged in master classes with such teachers as Renato Bruson, Brigitte Fassbaender, John Norris, Verena Keller.
Aluda Todua has won prizes in a variety of competitions, including the International Byulbyul Competition of Vocalists in Azerbaijan (2012) and the Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera Singers in Russia (2013), the International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen (Gütersloh, 2015), Stanisław Moniuszko International Vocal Competition (Warsaw, 2016).
In 2016-19 he was a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.
