Dear audience!

Based on the Decree of the Mayor of Moscow from the 21st of October 2021 №62-DM “On Amendments to the Decree of the Mayor of Moscow dated 08.06. 2020 №68-DM" and the order of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation from the 26th of October 2021 №1737 on the operation of federal cultural organisations, theatre visits are allowed under the following conditions:

– if visitors have a QR-code confirming the fact of their vaccination or their recovery from the coronavirus infection;

– visitors who have medical contraindications for vaccination have to provide an appropriate document (verified in the established manner by their doctor and the head of the medical organisation) and a negative PCR-test, completed 24 hours prior to their visit to the theatre, issued as a paper document or a QR-code;

– under 18s visitors are allowed to enter the theatre without a QR-code;

– visitors are required to have personal respiratory protection (mask or respirator) to attend the events of the Bolshoi Theatre;

– visitors who are unable to provide the documents listed above are eligible for a refund for their tickets. They can file their application for a refund prior to the start of the event if their ticket was purchased before the 24th of October 2021.

The applications are accepted on working days from 11am to 6pm at the box office in the administrative building of the theatre. During non-working days, applications can be accepted via email at

We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that it is impossible to enter the theatre:

– If visitors have only QR-codes with negative PCR-test results.

– If visitors have any other QR-codes, not registered on the website (State Services).

As a Federal State Cultural Organisation, the Bolshoi Theatre must comply with all proposed measures, and we hope for your understanding.

NB! In order to ensure your safety, we kindly ask you to maintain social distancing of one and a half metres in the theatre building.
