Vasily Sobakin is one of the first roles in artist’s repertoire. He learned and played it during student’s years. After graduation of St. Petersburg State Conservatory, young singer immediately made himself known on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. He sang one of the central parts (of Mussorgsky) in the hit production of The Children of Rosenthal, opera by L. Desyatnikov, (2005). Consequently, he continued taking part in other works at our theatre, ultimately touring with opera troupe in Finland (Boris Godunov by M. Mussorgsky, The Children of Rosenthal), Slovenia (Boris Godunov), Italy (Eugene Onegin by P. Tchaikovsky).
At the moment, Andrei Valenty is a leading soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus with a broad repertoire; besides, he is successfully performing in Kazan, Astrakhan, Moscow and abroad – France, the Netherlands, the UK and the USA.
During his career, he earned the reputation of an excellent singer and a talented artist. Critics and audiences refer to the best roles, which he created in his gallery of images. It includes Ivan Khovansky (Khovanshchina by M. Mussorgsky) for the production at The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre (it was the best performance in the opera category of Golden Mask Festival in 2016; and our hero was the only invited artist), Prince Gremin (Eugene Onegin on the stage of The Toulon Opera and Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theatre), King René (Iolanta by P. Tchaikovsky in Angers Nantes Opéra/ France, Opéra de Rennes/ France), Zaccaria (Nabucco by G. Verdi at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus and music festival in Dorset/ the UK), the Prince of Galich (Prince Igor by A. Borodin at the Opera and Ballet Theatre of Yakutia) and so on...
