One Day in the World Ballet Life: 23 October 2019!


Bolshoi Ballet will gather all its friends and admirers in front of the screen at 9 pm Moscow local time and will host 4 hours talk show session. Australian Ballet, due to time zones difference – will start first (4 pm – 8 pm, Moscow time), whereas The Royal Ballet, Covent Garden, will end up the broadcast (1 pm – 5 pm, Moscow time).

Bolshoi Ballet’s program will include the story about the Bolshoi Theatre school in Brazil; the story of the Bolshoi Ballet School in Moscow (Moscow State Academy of Choreography); morning class by renowned pedagogue Boris Akimov; morning class by young pedagogue, who was prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre until recently, Maria Allash; ballet rehearsals of Don Quixote, Raymonda and soon to be premiered ballet Giselle by Alexei Ratmansky; troupe’s leading artists will be invited to step at the forefront (one-on-one classes and rehearsals) such as Denis Rodkin, Igor Tsvirko, Olga Smirnova, Artemy Belyakov; young artists, yet who already were able to gain public recognition such as Alexandra Trkoz, Eleonora Sevenard and Anastasia Denisova. We will drop by the rehearsal of Nederlands Dans Theater/ NDT, which we are hosting at the moment, and will move backstage of Perm opera and Ballet Theatre for a while. Closing speech will be given by Artistic Director of our ballet company, Mr Makhar Vaziev.
