Alexei Tikhomirov graduated from Kazan Music College; he is soloist of Helikon-Opera Company. Singer performs abroad a lot: Teatro Real Madrid, Opéra Marseille, Opera di Firenze, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Theater an der Wien, Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, La Monnaie in Brussels, Polish National Opera Warsaw,New National Theatre Tokyo, Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, Municipal Theatre of São Paulo in Brazil and many others.

In the West, he became known for his leading bass parts from Russian repertoire: Boris Godunov, Pimen and Varlaam (Boris Godunov by M.Mussorgsky), Sobakin (The Tsar’s Bride by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Dodon (The Golden Cockerel by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), King Rene (Iolanta by Tchaikovsky), Boris Timofeevich (The Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk by D. Shostakovich). Yet he is not limiting his work only within it: singer is also in demand in Italian and German repertoire. With great success, he performs parts in operas of G. Verdi, G. Puccini, G. Rossini, W.A Mozart, C.W. Gluck and R. Wagner.

In 2010, he made his Bolshoi Theatre debut in the part of Sarastro (Die Zauberfloete). In 2011, he took part in the Bolshoi Theatre’s production of Ruslan and Lyudmila by M. Glinka, which opened Historical stage after renovation, singing the part of Ruslan. He then sang a part of Pimen.
