Credit Suisse to Become Main Sponsor of Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater
The new cultural commitment complements the onshore private banking business in Moscow and, through performance tours, the global presence of the Credit Suisse brand

Moscow/Zurich, December 7, 2006 Credit Suisse is set to become the new main sponsor of the world renowned Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. The partnership, provisionally established for a period of five years, will begin in early 2007 and will also encompass the Bolshoi's global tours. As the main sponsor of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Credit Suisse is further expanding its international presence in culture.

The Bolshoi Theater is internationally renowned for its unique musical and theatrical tradition. Yet for centuries, the Bolshoi Theater has also been a source of inspiration and innovation to Russian and European stages.

The sponsorship role at the established Moscow theater complements Credit Suisse’s international presence in the cultural arena. Oswald J. For this reason, we are very much looking forward to the honor of sharing extraordinary moments with our clients at the Bolshoi Theater. To maintain the high standard of our art, we need partners who share our appreciation of quality. We are delighted to have established a cultural affiliation with Credit Suisse, and look forward to working together with such a reliable partner."The Bolshoi Theater was founded in 1776 at Catherine the Great's request. Its extraordinary architecture has earned the Bolshoi the distinction as one of the world's most beautiful theaters, and its opera company and ballet are among the most reputable worldwide. The Bolshoi is also acclaimed for its frequent international tours.
